Absorbent Minds Montessori School is guided by the observations of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our program is based on the belief that during the first six years of life, children should develop through purposeful "work" in an environment that allows for intellectual freedom and exploration. The child's mind will never again be as absorbent as it is from birth to age six. As the children strive to attain their potential, they develop attitudes and confidence that will serve them throughout their lives. Our goal is to see a self-disciplined, self-reliant child who is strong in character and leadership.

A New Year Begins
August 25th 2008
Laughter filled the air as children greeted friends on the first day of school. They enjoyed seeing familiar faces like Ms. Brandy, Mrs. Cooper and Mr. John as well as meeting new faces like Ms. Brown and Mrs. Busa. After a long summer break the children were ready to begin working. Returning students from last year broke in the new works while the new children enjoyed exploring all of the materials. We reviewed the rules and talked about respecting each other the classroom and our teachers. We are looking forward to a fantastic year.
